Horse Grooming is one of the most important aspects of being a good horse owner. A young or new owner will need to know what supplies they will need to groom their horse.

A Rubber Curry Comb – A Rubber Curry Comb has soft rubber teeth, it usually comes in a circular or oval shape that gently lifts the dirt off the body. There are many different brands and styles to choose from. while doing some research I found that the Oster Equine Care Series Curry Comb, Fine, Blue had great reviews from happy customers who bought this curry comb for sensitive areas like the face and bony areas like the legs on their horse.

The Dandy Brush – A stiff bristled brush is what some horse owners refer to as the dandy brush. This stiff brush works well in removing dirt that can cause allergies. Another great tool to consider would be the FURminator deShedding tool. The popular Furminator is used to reduce allergens, helps stimulate circulation and hair growth, and it cuts down on the grooming time.

Body Clipper and Brush – A body brush is a soft bristled finishing brush used to flatten down the hair and remove any remaining debris after a full body clipping or a horse. Oval Body Finishing Brush is an effective easy to find tool – I usually recommend getting those off Amazon or ebay. While the best clippers for horses you can find on TrimEpil.

Mane and Tail Brush – Some people prefer to use a mane comb on the mane but not the tail due to hair breakage. After doing some research, I found that Oster Equine Care Series Mane & Tail Brush customers were very pleased with this tool and gave it great reviews.

Hoof Pick – There are many brands to choose from for picking dirt, manure, and pebbles out of your horse’s hooves. Some horse owners prefer the Oster Equine Care Series Hoof Pick, Blue because of the way the handle is designed for a better grip.

Bottom line is that there are of course many different brands to choose from, but no matter which brand you choose, you still will have the basic needed tools for grooming your horse.?
